The PowerFloat rotating periotome is an unguarded right-angle shaft into which a specialized collet and titanium rod set is installed. 
The rotating periotome is used to drill multiple holes deep into the periodontal space in order to destroy periodontal tissue during extraction procedures. 
This tool shortens the time required to extract equine cheek teeth.
The rotating periotome consists of three main parts, the PowerFloat right angle attachment, the collet with screw set and the titanium rods. A set of 5 rods is included.
