The PowerFloat reciprocating periotome is a specialized right angle quick connect shaft that attaches to any of the PowerFloat quick connect drills.
 
The head of the shaft contains a built-in specialized collet into which different lengths of 1 mm (0.03 inch) thickness flexible stainless blades are inserted and secured with a set screw.
 
Powered reciprocating strokes cause the blades to penetrate and cut deeper into the periodontal ligament attachments in preparation for cheek teeth extractions.
 
This tool significantly shortens the time required to extract equine cheek teeth.
